Hey Nephalim... do you allow people to use your OCs by official permission (I'm aware Kate is owned by Schatt/First Ace, so I can't do anything about that)? If so can I have your permission to use your Starfox OCs in other media like fanfiction for example in case of future use? (I'll understand if you say no). Also btw I love the new portraits you've done there.

So I only recently discovered Event Horizon a couple days ago and all I can say after playing the demo is WOW. This is by no means a simple project. Everything about it has blown me away thus far, from the graphics to the fights and that ridiculous 360 flight range most shooters never give us, giving dogfights a whole new intensity. It's everything that Starfox deserves to be. You've worked incredibly hard on this, and it shows beautifully.
I also hope you'll forgive me for this little selfish tidbit, but I sincerely hope that you won't ever give up on this project, as massive and ridiculous as it seems. I'll donate whatever I can to your patreon to help, as I would hate to see something of this potential to just vanish. You've got the perfect diamond, it just needs polishing.
A couple final things, as I haven't spent too much time browsing through the forum. Will there be one cohesive story line? Or just strings of battle scenarios? And would it be possible to somehow implement a shadow box around the texts to make reading it a bit easier in the far future? (though I would imagine that requires a crap ton of back tracking. Please excuse my whining about that, it's just when you put in the effort for dialogue and half of it gets obscured by those crazy particle and light effects, it can be a bit frustrating.)

Not really given up on, just kind of overshadowed by my other project, which is older and has a much more massive community. It makes more sense to focus most of my effort on that one. I don't mean to diminish the community here, but those who actively follow my starfox game is pretty small and only a handful of people. Yes there will be a storyline, and hopefully down the road everything will be fully voiced. I'll likely make the text larger in general, the default freespace 2 size is pretty small.

Here's a bit of strange question. The support for this mod is very minimal, and I was wondering if perhaps the people here who follow would be alright if Event Horizon became a real-time strategy game again? It would use the same engine that my other big mod uses. I know it's not the same as a Starfox flight sim, so I just wanted to make sure and ask around before I make any big decisions like that.

Sorry if I haven't been following around for a while. Although I would like to say that I do want SFEH to stay as it is as a flight sim . I mean... I'm pretty skeptical if it would change back into an RTS. I'm just not sure how to back with a reasonable explanation. I'm not sure if there are any other reasons that is holding this project back, but if it changes to an RTS platform, I won't argue. I'll still follow around of how SFEH is going to be.

I prefer the game as it is right now. At the end of the day, it's up to you Neph, but I will definitely keep supporting you along the way. SF:EH means a lot to me, and even if it takes you another 5 years to finish it, I'll gladly wait. I know this game is going to be epic no matter what.

Been keeping a close eye here, but I guess I'll reply... I perfectly understand being stretched too thin and you have obligations to HTW. I'm fine with the stops and gos in development here, but it does make me wish I'd win the lottery or something, I'd throw all kinds of money at this XD !I don't really want to see EH become some kind of RTS, though, it is without a doubt amazing as a flight combat sim.

Dude you really think Starfox is Dead? Come on! Did you not see the Starlink Video? Wait what about smash putting Wolf back into the Roster in Super Smash Brothers and people love Fox! if I am 100 Honest with you again. I really loved what you have done with Event Horizon. Again my only beef with it is the engine would crash when playing it. The Game didn't have lives - so being able to spawn back into the game would be Great! but as a Demo the Game blows everything else related to Nintendo Fan based games.
So please do not change this into an RTS - Personally I am done with RTS games. Too many of them!

By dead I mean relevance with pop culture (and therefore a large audience of people), not that there will never be any new Star Fox games.
Star Fox Zero had abysmal sales numbers despite the 10 year gap to build up interest. Starfox will probably now remain a niche series with few and more specific fans. Zelda on the other hand still has a lot of pop culture relevance, with plenty of more casual people buying the series in droves. The recent Breath of the Wild, which despite being a pretty mediocre game in my opinion, has sold over 3 million copies. This is reflected in my two games. Hyrule Conquest has a huge following and a lot of active players. Event Horizon doesn't.
This is what I mean by "Starfox is pretty much dead." Not that there will never be more Star Fox games. By dead I mean it has a niche following now and not a large body of people who are consuming the property.

Not True the problem is this.
The Problem why Starfox isn't doing so well is the fact Nintendo hasn't cared about the Franchise that much since Starfox 64.
They let other studios work on it like Namco and not focused on it like they have the Legend of Zelda Series and rushed it out.
Also you have to remember how many units they sold of the SNES classic that had Starfox 2 on it. Look at those Sales and tell me I am wrong.
Nintendo has also done this to Metroid Series as well. After Metroid Prime 3 they let some other studio work on it and Metroid the Other M was horrific, so was Metroid Federation Force. Being also a hardcore Metroid Fan. I found that Another Metroid Remake done by a fan way better then what Nintendo did which was Metroid Samus Returns.
So you might as well say the Metroid Series is dead. But Nintendo has corrected this by bringing back the Metroid Prime series but again will see since it was no show at E3.
