Still looking good so far, maybe just changing the skybox of the level, its the same skybox as the Krazoa palace if i remember? With all of the light produced by the explosion, it's almost like a sunset over the city, maybe a sunset skybox will be great. EDIT: can we see a long-range fighter for the next time if possible please? Maybe Katt , because sh*t i realy love the aesthetic style of the character model you have done with her!

This trailer raised several questions for me:
First, is the lag from the game or is it recording-induced ?
Second, Is there a "hitbox", or some part that are either more vulnerable/invulnerable on some ships, or is shoting anywhere all over the same ?
Third, why did it seem to take so long to destroy that last turret thingy ? Are the npcs making a real difference ?
Last, I didn't get who you were allied to in that trailer, you seemed to be shoting at everyone.

Maybe I'll record Katt next. The Cerinian Battlemech was next on my list though. First, is the lag from the game or is it recording-induced ? It's from Fraps, there's no lag for me when I'm not recording. I've used various recording software and they all cause frame rate issues no matter what settings I use. The frame rate seems to improve the longer Fraps is recording though. Second, Is there a "hitbox", or some part that are either more vulnerable/invulnerable on some ships, or is shoting anywhere all over the same ? Yes there are certain sections of craft that are more vulnerable than others, though smaller fighters can pretty much be hit anywhere. Certain types of weapons also do more damage to certain types of armor, more on that when I finish the weapons section on the website. Third, why did it seem to take so long to destroy that last turret thingy ? Are the npcs making a real difference ? I probably gave the bases too much HP. It seemed like most of the NPC's had a prefernce to fight each other rather than focus on the bases. Last, I didn't get who you were allied to in that trailer, you seemed to be shoting at everyone. Star Wolf was working for Venom in that level. The Cornerians and Anglars were considered enemies. I do think I accidentally shot at a Venom Cruiser at some point, I'm so used to fighting them.

It seemed like most of the NPC's had a prefernce to fight each other rather than focus on the bases. How work the AI of the NPC atm? Do they know how to identify the threat potential of each type of vessels, identify a target against which they do not have adequate weapons to fight and so do not focus fire on a target against which they can not do anything (eg, a heavy cruiser with limited or no anti-fighter weapons that does not take a light fighter as a primary target) and so, waisting is time against something he can't hit and/or a target on which he can not do significant damage?

At long last, the Lylat System is detailed and charted for Star Fox: Event Horizon. Check out the interactive map and click on planets and objects at this link: starfoxeh.weebly.com/lylat-system.html
I've not messed with the AI in that level yet, they are just set to attack the closest target after they spawn in that level.

Oh god, how do I disagree with this map. But I guess you're kind of set with this. Nevertheless I need to point out things anyway. Solar IS a star, an M-Class Star, and according to the SF64 guide, it's Solar that is in the middle of the Sector triangle, not Lylat. Sector Y is contrary to what you said here, a dangerous nebula. Maybe not as dangerous as X and Z but dangerous nonetheless. It was presumably formed after the nuclear meltdown of a Bolse-type satellite, and there are therefore lots of radiation and magnetic waves. MacBeth is the second biggest planet of Lylat, and given it's temperature according to the guide, is clearly not the first planet in the Lylat system. Also Titania is not as hot as you may think. It's a cold desert despite having sand and a reddish atmosphere. Much like planet Mars in a way. Finally, the causes of the disparition of Aquas' civilisation are known: It's because of Bacoon, that sent thousands of starfish to explode at the ice caps and melt it. But yet again it's not very important and it doesn't matter for the game.

I also wonder, since a character is not restricted in his choice of ship, the choice of character affects something on the ship itself ?

But yet again it's not very important and it doesn't matter for the game. - I state on the website Solar is a class M Star. The "is it a star or planet?" comment is a reference to fan debate. Solar is called a planet in Command, probably where the confusion came from in the first place. - I am going by Macbeth's brief appearance in Assault. It can be seen passed Fortuna towards a blue Star which I am assuming is Lylat Prime. You can see Fortuna from Katina, and Katina from the surface of Corneria. Considering Corneria is the fourth planet in the Lylat system, it's probably safe to assume Katina is 3rd, Fortuna 2nd, and Macbeth 1st based on their appearances relative to each other in Assault. In fact you can get a pretty good sense of what planet is where based on looking at the skyboxes in Assault. Then again it's possible their development team messed everything up further. - The three Sectors do orbit Solar. Since Solar orbits Lylat they are naturally going to orbit that star as well. - Titania is cold most of the time, except when it passes close to Solar and Lylat

I am going to be out of town for a week, so probably no updates in the meantime. When I return one of these two characters will probably be revealed and added to the roster:

Ah it's time to do some prognostic then. Hmm let's see, for the character on the right, i think it's Lucy Hare (or Peppy after a serious diet). For the character on the left, i clearly see the hat of a military officer, probably Pepper or captain Shear because... Interesting guess with Captain Shears there.

Yeah I'd go with Shears for the left one too. And Lucy seems likely too.

I have a quick, and maybe dumb, question, will there be any kind of stage bosses like on the original games?
